About the job
Your main job role will include replenishing fresh, frozen and ambient goods in our Warehouse and Shop Floor. Additionally, you will be picking customer orders for the shop and warehouse areas which also include fresh, frozen and ambient goods as well as Internal Branch Transfer Orders using a HHT.
This is a fast paced working environment and you will need to learn the product range to be productive in picking the goods and you will also be required to work in -25 freezer conditions.
Additional duties include:
- To assist the Stock Controller in any areas which you will be trained and when required.
- Cleanliness, layout and presentation of the warehouse, freezers and outside areas.
- Labelling and putting away all stock received into locations (Ambient or Frozen).
- Picking frozen and ambient orders for in-store customers and or pick all deliveries and collections leaving Central Distribution.
- Assisting customers with queries if in store.
- Keeping the shop floor and warehouse areas clean and tidy.
- Replenishing stock levels in the shop floor and warehouse ambient and freezers.
- Picking goods for customer collection.
- Ensuring all chill chain and frozen food temperature regulations are followed.
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed.
- Collecting trollies from the car park and bringing them back into the shop.
- Cover other areas of the business as required (following any further training needed).
- Unloading of vehicles to include handball ambient and/or frozen containers.
- Carrying out PI Stock Check on a regular basis.
- Undertake any other tasks as deemed appropriate that may be initiated by a member of the management team.
