Job Overview
We are looking for caring, reliable and enthusiastic Support Workers to join a dedicated team supporting a lovely man with a brain injury in his own home
This is a rewarding role supporting an individual with a great personality and warm character. He enjoys getting out and about, going for walks and spending time with dogs. He requires support with all aspects of daily living, including personal care and can display challenging behaviours. The successful candidate will therefore need to be patient, calm, compassionate, understanding and able to respond positively and consistently to a range of behaviours.
Responsibilities
- Provide 2:1 support and companionship
- Supporting with personal care and personal hygiene
- Assisting with all aspects of day to day living
- Supporting with meal preparation and household routines
- Encouraging and supporting participation in activities and outings
- Enjoying walks and time outdoors
- Supporting engagement with the local community
- Providing positive and consistent support when challenging behaviours occur
- Maintain a calm, safe and supportive environment
- Following care plans, risks assessments and agreed support strategies
- Promoting independence, dignity, choice and quality of life
- Working effectively as part of a team

Pay: £15,000.00-£30,200.00 per year
