We are looking for someone who is passionate about their role in a care industry. We are a supported living care home, we provide supported living services for adults with; learning disabilities, autism, dementia, physical disabilities, complex needs, Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) and, mental health problems.
- Responsibility for and overseeing daily business operations, staffing, organisation, and the smooth running of the home, as well as the general well-being of the residents and staff
· Continually assess and supervise the work of staff to ensure consistently high standards and efficient running of the care home
· Ensuring all required CQC standards are adhered to and undertaking all staff supervisions and appraisals in accordance with the requirement of the CQC.
· Ensuring that regular checks are carried out on staff, to ensure that all necessary paper works are professionally scrutinized in compliance with the general standards and ethics of the industry.
· Offering out of office 24/7 'on call/on site’ support when required.
· Creating and upholding an open, honest, and playful work culture
· Continually looking to improve how we administer and deliver care.
· Continuously monitor and improve quality: Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and take proactive steps to address any issues identified. Weekly and monthly audits are to be carried out to ensure outstanding quality assurance process.
· Providing a robust quality assurance report on each service location every month.
· Developing and implementing policies and procedures to maintain a high standard of care for residents, including health and safety protocols, infection control measures, and safeguarding policies.
· Hiring, training, and supervising staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide quality care to residents.
· Monitoring staff performance and conducting regular appraisals to identify areas for improvement and provide constructive feedback.
· Conducting regular audits and inspections to identify areas of improvement and ensure compliance with regulations.
· Managing the care home's finances, improve overall revenue, budgeting, invoicing, and managing payroll.
· Building relationships with local health and social care providers to ensure seamless coordination of care for residents.
· Developing and maintaining effective communication channels with residents, their families, and staff to promote transparency and collaboration.
· Planning and organizing social and recreational activities for residents to promote their physical and mental wellbeing.
· Leading by example and creating a positive, supportive, and respectful work environment.
· Ensuring that the care home is adequately resourced with equipment, supplies, and medications necessary for providing quality care to residents.
· Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure that the care home is providing the best possible care to residents.
· Working with the care home's board of directors or ownership group to develop and implement strategic plans and goals for the facility.
· Building and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders, including residents, their families, healthcare providers, and the local community.
· Representing the care home in public forums and promoting the facility's brand and reputation.
Ideal Candidate:
- Is CQC registered Manager / have been in the past
- Relevant qualifications -
- More than 5 years of experience
- Have worked in supported living care home before.
- Nurse background/ mental health / learning disability
