Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Person / Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Warehouse Operative and Driver, you will play a key part in our day-to-day operations. Your role will combine hands on warehouse duties with safe, efficient driving and excellent customer service. You will ensure that items are stored, handled and delivered in a safe, confident and professional manor. You will report to the General Manager for daily operations and work closely with the office team.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles for delivery purposes.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled with care and stored securely
- Deliver and collect items to customers in a professional, timely, and courteous manner.
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers during daily interactions
- Assist with warehouse organisation, stock replenishment, and inventory management
- Maintain a safe, clean, well-organised warehouse environment at all times.
- Complete all company paperwork accurately, including pick lists and delivery documentation.
- Maintain safe and clean delivery vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times during warehouse activities and deliveries
- Support other areas of the business as required.
Requirements
- Experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within a warehouse environment, plumbing knowledge preferred but not essential.
- Full UK driving license with a maximum of 6 points is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, handling goods safely.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- A reliable team player with a strong work ethic, able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and customers
- Good physical fitness to manage manual handling tasks and periods of driving or standing.
Pay: £13.50 per hour
