Salary: £26,325 per annum (pro rata for part-time hours)
Location: Exeter, Plymouth, and across the South West
Hours: 65, 130 or 162.5 hours per month. Full-time and part-time contracts available.

Aspire Community Support & Assessment is looking for caring, resilient and motivated Family Practitioners to join our growing team.
Founded in 2009, Aspire is a highly respected, family-run organisation providing specialist support, supervision and assessment services to vulnerable children and families across the South West. Our innovative approach enables us to work intensively with families in their own homes, helping parents develop the skills, confidence and capacity to provide safe and nurturing care for their children.

About the Role
As a Family Practitioner, you will provide practical and therapeutic support to families experiencing complex challenges. Working closely with children, parents, social workers and other professionals, you will help deliver positive outcomes for vulnerable families.
Our work takes place across the South West of England, therefore we welcome applications from individuals living in Devon and surrounding counties who are willing to travel as part of their role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing targeted support to families in their homes and communities.
- Delivering practical interventions to parents and children.
- Supporting families experiencing crisis or long-term difficulties.
- Building positive and productive relationships with family members.
- Working alongside social workers to inform parenting assessments.
- Using evidence-based interventions and assessment tools.
- Maintaining accurate and timely electronic records.
- Contributing to support planning and outcome reviews.
What we're looking for
Essential Criteria
- Experience working with children and families to promote positive change.
- Ability to build effective relationships with families and professionals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good IT skills, including report writing.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with appropriate insurance.
- Willingness to travel across the South West.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and overnight shifts as contract requires.
Desirable
- Experience working within safeguarding, children's services or related settings.
- A Level 3 qualification (or above) in Health & Social Care, Childcare, Psychology, Education, Youth & Community Work or a related field.
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs.
- Knowledge of family court proceedings and family law.
- Training in recognised intervention models such as the Solihull Approach, Incredible Years or Video Interaction Guidance.
