About the Role
We are looking for friendly, reliable Bar Staff to join the team at The Navigation Inn, a vibrant canal-side pub in Wootton Wawen. You will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, preparing and serving drinks to a high standard, and helping to maintain a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a busy pub environment and takes pride in great hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve drinks and food to customers promptly and with a friendly, professional manner
- Prepare a range of beverages including cask ales, wines, spirits, and cocktails
- Operate the till accurately, handle cash and card payments, and follow all financial procedures
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked bar area throughout each shift
- Assist with cellar duties including changing barrels, stock rotation, and deliveries
- Follow all licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and food hygiene standards
- Support the wider team during busy periods, events, and functions
- Help with opening and closing duties as required
Requirements
- Previous bar or hospitality experience preferred but not essential — full training provided
- Friendly, approachable, and confident speaking with customers
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well under pressure
- Comfortable handling cash and working with EPOS systems
- Must be aged 18 or over
Schedule
- Flexible hours — evenings, weekends, and bank holidays required
- Part-time and full-time hours available
