Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs
- Support the food production process to ensure timely delivery of dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in accordance with food safety standards
- Help with ingredient preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning
- Contribute to ensuring all dishes meet quality standards before serving
- Support team management by collaborating effectively with colleagues
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and safety throughout all kitchen activities
- Serve as a reliable team member during busy service periods, providing assistance where needed
Experience
- Prior experience in a kitchen environment or hospitality setting is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, and general kitchen operations
- Supervising experience or leadership skills are considered a plus but are not essential
- Familiarity with restaurant procedures, food production processes, and serving protocols
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently within a team and manage multiple tasks under pressure
