Job Description:
The Roger Dyson Group are seeking a motivated, creative and forward-thinking Social Media & Marketing Administrator to manage and develop the company’s digital and print marketing presence across multiple platforms.
This role would suit somebody who is passionate about creating impactful content, building brand awareness and delivering high-quality marketing campaigns within a fast-paced and exciting commercial vehicle industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the company’s public image through engaging social media content, website management, photography, advertising and marketing strategy.
Working closely alongside the sales team, this position offers excellent creative freedom and the opportunity to make a genuine impact on business growth. The role may also include occasional off-site work at vehicle handovers, customer visits, exhibitions, trade shows and industry events when opportunities arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the company website, ensuring vehicle stock listings, specifications and information pages remain accurate and up to date
- Assist in the ongoing redevelopment and enhancement of the company website, including layout design, user experience improvements and backend functionality
- Create, schedule and manage content across social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and emerging short-form video platforms
- Develop engaging marketing campaigns designed to increase brand awareness, customer interaction and lead generation
- Produce high-quality photo and video content for new vehicle builds, completed projects, customer handovers and company updates
- Photograph new vehicles prior to collection and professionally edit imagery for use across digital marketing, website content, brochures and advertisements
- Design and coordinate marketing materials including magazine adverts, promotional graphics, exhibition displays and printed literature
- Liaise with magazine publishers, media companies and external marketing suppliers to maintain advertising schedules and publication deadlines
- Monitor and analyse social media performance, website traffic and campaign effectiveness to identify growth opportunities
- Produce monthly reports covering social media engagement, audience growth, marketing expenditure and return on investment (ROI)
- Support the sales department with marketing initiatives, promotional campaigns and customer-facing media content
- Maintain consistent branding and professional presentation across all company platforms and communications
- Stay up to date with current social media trends, digital marketing strategies and industry developments to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative
Requirements
- Previous experience within a social media, marketing or digital content role
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro (or equivalent editing software)
- Experience managing business social media accounts across multiple platforms
- Understanding of website backend systems and content management platforms
- Knowledge of photography, camera equipment and image composition
- Ability to capture and edit both photo and video content to a professional standard
- Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate fresh and engaging content ideas
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines and prioritise workload effectively
- Full UK driving licence preferred due to occasional off-site work and event attendance
Desirable Skills
- Experience within the automotive, commercial vehicle or transport industries
- Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics and paid social advertising
- Experience with video production and short-form content creation
- Basic understanding of branding and graphic design principles
- Experience covering live events, exhibitions or customer showcases
