Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their development and learning through play and structured activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their individual learning journeys.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive community within the nursery.
- Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and conducive to learning, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other staff members to develop effective strategies for managing behaviour and supporting children's needs.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Skills
- Strong management and leadership abilities to guide and support a team of practitioners.
- Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to drive is advantageous for potential outings or transportation needs related to nursery activities.
- A caring attitude towards children with the ability to build trusting relationships.
