About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive QHSE Manager to join our team and lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) management systems.
This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, maintaining ISO standards, driving a positive safety culture, and supporting operational excellence across the business. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and operational teams to ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, environmental performance, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the company's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental programmes.
- Maintain and improve integrated management systems in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality legislation.
- Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
- Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, near misses, and quality non-conformances.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Deliver QHSE training and awareness programmes across the organisation.
- Monitor and report on QHSE performance metrics and KPIs.
- Support operational teams in achieving continuous improvement objectives.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, customers, certification bodies, and external stakeholders.
- Drive a positive culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in a QHSE Manager, HSE Manager, Quality Manager, or similar role.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.
- NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 5/6 Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent qualification.
- Experience leading audits, investigations, and risk management activities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
- Experience of driving continuous improvement initiatives and achieving measurable results.
