Responsibilities
- Lead daily activities and educational programs tailored to the developmental needs of children in the early years age group
- Support and mentor staff members, promoting continuous professional development and best practices in childcare
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a secure environment for children and staff
- Build strong relationships with families, providing regular updates on children’s progress and addressing any concerns with clear communication
- Plan engaging learning experiences that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Oversee the implementation of curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Manage administrative tasks such as maintaining accurate records of attendance, observations, and developmental milestones
Requirements
- Proven management and leadership experience within early childhood or nursery settings
- Extensive experience working directly with children in childcare or nursery environments
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Childcare qualifications such as Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are essential
- Valid driving license is preferred for roles involving transportation or home visits
- Demonstrated ability to foster a positive, inclusive environment that supports children's growth and well-being
