Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Caretaker/Maintenance professional to ensure the safety, functionality, and upkeep of our facilities. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical condition of buildings and equipment, troubleshooting issues, and performing repairs to support a safe and welcoming environment. Your leadership and technical expertise will help foster a well-maintained space that meets the needs of our community and staff.
Working Hours will be 18 hours per week, with shift times Monday to Saturday 0800am - 1100am ( 3 hours per day, 6 days per week).
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and parts inventory
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing facility concerns promptly and professionally
- Carry out general caretaking duties such as cleaning, litter collection, placing bins out for collection
Experience
- Proven experience in building maintenance or facilities management
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and team coordination
- Customer service orientation with the ability to respond effectively to facility-related inquiries or issues
