The Medical Specialties Division is seeking to recruit a full-time Administration Coordinator to join the administration team supporting Rheumatology on a fixed-term contract for 12 months due to limited funding.
The postholder will be proactive with strong communication and IT skills and the ability to effectively prioritise their own workload as well as support others in response to the changing demands of the team and service.
The postholder will have key working relationships with all members of the administrative and clinical teams including medical staff, allied health professionals and support workers. They will act as the first point of contact via phone and email in communication with patients, relatives and GPs and external hospital staff.
The postholder will be responsible for being the face of the Rheumatology team, assisting patients with queries and their ongoing care, as well as working with the wider team on bookings, scheduling process development. This post reports into the Rheumatology Administration Team Leader, and will help contribute to proactive solutions for routine challenges.
The ability to manage a busy and varied workload is essential, alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
