Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Linen Porter / Public Area Cleaner to join our hospitality team. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our hotel’s public spaces and linen supplies, ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospitality or janitorial services, demonstrating attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness standards.
Duties
- Collect, organise, and distribute linen supplies throughout the hotel, ensuring availability and proper storage.
- Clean and maintain all public areas including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and communal spaces to high standards of hygiene.
- Ensure all surfaces are sanitised, floors are swept and mopped, and waste is disposed of appropriately.
- Assist with the replenishment of guest amenities and supplies in public areas.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties to management promptly.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment for colleagues and guests.
- Support other housekeeping team members as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial services, or hospitality is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Reliable with a professional attitude towards guest service and team collaboration.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning operations is advantageous.
