This is a permanent, year-round position offering full-time hours, a monthly share of tips, meals on shift and staff accommodation if required.
Pay and hours
- From £13.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Tips shared monthly based on hours worked
- Typically 40+ hours per week
- Permanent, full-time position
- A mixture of daytime, evening and weekend shifts
- Longer shifts are included in the rota during busy periods
Live-in staff accommodation
Staff accommodation is available for applicants relocating to Pitlochry.
You’ll have a private bedroom within a shared staff house or flat. Most properties have shared bathroom and communal facilities, all household bills are included, and the accommodation is within walking distance of the hotel.
An accommodation charge will be deducted from your wages.
About the role
The Old Mill Inn is one of Pitlochry’s busiest and most popular venues. Our team looks after hotel residents, restaurant diners, locals and visitors enjoying drinks, live sport and our regular live music nights.
You’ll work across the bar, restaurant and outdoor dining areas, helping us deliver friendly, efficient service in a lively hospitality environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Serving draught beer, cocktails, wine, spirits and soft drinks
- Taking orders and serving food
- Welcoming guests and providing attentive, friendly service
- Processing payments accurately
- Keeping the bar and service areas clean, organised and well stocked
- Supporting colleagues during busy restaurant services and live music nights
- Helping every guest have a five-star memorable experience
About you
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, dependable and comfortable interacting with guests
- Able to work confidently in a busy, fast-moving environment
- A strong team player with a positive attitude
- Available for evening and weekend work
- Confident communicating in spoken English
- You must be eligible to work in the UK
Previous bar, restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred, but we will also consider applicants with a great attitude and transferable customer-service experience. Full training will be provided.
