Who are we?
We’re an online betting company launched in 2021 by a group of people who love sport. Our aim is to try our best to take people’s bets whether they be large or small. And we want our customers to feel valued and enjoy dealing with us. It should be fun, right? We’re a company that’s going places, which means you will too.
Our commitment to responsible gambling is integral to how we operate, and we actively promote awareness and education to help our customers make informed decisions. Together, we can create a safer gambling environment for everyone
What would you do?
We’re looking for a dedicated Safer Gambling Executive to join our Compliance team. This role plays a key part in protecting customers and keeping us compliant, by identifying, assessing and interacting with customers who may be at risk of gambling-related harm.
You’ll be responsible for conducting detailed customer risk assessments, starting meaningful customer interactions and taking the right action in line with our Safer Gambling policies. As we’re a small company, you’ll work closely with internal teams to make sure we take a consistent and effective approach to protecting our customers.
Here’s a bit more detail on what you’ll do:
- Conduct Safer Gambling risk assessments on customers who meet defined thresholds, triggers or alerts;
- Review customer activity, behaviours and account patterns to spot potential indicators of harm;
- Use our internal tools and data to assess risk levels and decide on the right next steps;
- Keep accurate, detailed records of all reviews and actions taken;
- Carry out meaningful customer interactions through outbound calls and written communication;
- Engage with customers to understand affordability, source of funds and their overall risk profile;
- Handle vulnerable and sensitive customer cases with empathy and professionalism;
- Manage customer cases from identification through to resolution, in line with our policies;
- Handle escalations where needed, making sure timely and appropriate action is taken;
- Provide guidance and support to Customer Service on Safer Gambling queries;
- Assist with Safer Gambling related tickets, making sure responses are consistent and compliant;
- Help ensure Safer Gambling is considered across all customer touchpoints;
- Work closely with teams across the business to support customer protection;
- Keep a strong, up-to-date understanding of regulatory expectations and apply these on a daily basis;
- Handle all customer data sensitively and confidentially.
Would we be a good match?
To be our perfect match, you’ll need to:
- Have at least 1 year experience in safer gambling, compliance, or a related role within betting/gaming;
- Have strong knowledge of UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) regulations and responsible gambling principles;
- Have excellent communication and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage sensitive customer conversations, including coaching others to do the same;
- Be calm under pressure – betting is a volatile business, and you can manage sensitive customer conversations without losing perspective;
- Have a passion for player wellbeing – you get that the best operator isn’t the one that maximises extraction, it’s the one players genuinely trust;
- Have a high level of attention to detail and great analytical skills;
- Be a good writer and communicator, writing and communicating in a way that feels clear, friendly and warm, even during sensitive conversations;
- Be good in a team;
- Have the ability to manage your workload effectively and on time.
Even if you don’t tick all of these boxes, please don’t be afraid to apply. We’re looking for the right person who’ll fit into our team and who we can see really cares about player safety, helping customers and protecting our growing company. We’ll give you training and help to develop your knowledge.
