Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team, providing essential support and companionship to individuals in care homes or through home care services. Responsibilities
- Support residents or clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
- Assist in implementing and reviewing individual care plans tailored to each person’s needs and preferences
- Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery and address any concerns promptly
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and ensure compliance with care standards and regulations
- Promote a positive environment by engaging in conversation, activities, and social interactions that enhance well-being
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to create a secure environment for everyone in the care setting
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is highly desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, demonstrating excellent listening and interpersonal skills
- Basic IT skills to update records, access care plans, and communicate with team members efficiently
- Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with residents or clients and their families
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ well-being
- Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts as required
