Duties

- Take accurate orders and relay them efficiently to the kitchen, ensuring timely preparation and service.
- Serve food and beverages with professionalism, maintaining high standards of presentation and etiquette.
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximise guest satisfaction and revenue.
- Monitor guest needs throughout their visit, responding promptly to requests or concerns.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and maintain cleanliness in all service areas.
- Assist in training junior staff members, sharing expertise in service techniques and restaurant procedures.
- Handle payments accurately, process transactions efficiently, and manage cash or electronic payments securely.
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments, with a solid understanding of serving protocols.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and basic food preparation techniques.
- Excellent guest service skills, with the ability to anticipate guest needs and provide personalised attention.
- Strong organisational skills with effective time management to handle multiple tables during busy service periods.
- Basic maths skills for processing bills and handling transactions accurately.
- Previous experience working in a high-end restaurant environment is advantageous.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest engagement.
- Team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills and a professional demeanour.
