Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality grilled dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to recipes and customer specifications
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding areas
- Assist in meal preparation and presentation to ensure timely service
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to guarantee perfect results
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to manage orders efficiently during busy periods
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times, including proper handling of food and equipment
- Support the team in maintaining stock levels and restocking supplies as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous experience working with grill stations or barbecue equipment is desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Culinary experience that demonstrates creativity and attention to detail
- Prior experience in serving or customer-facing roles is advantageous but not essential
