Overview
The John Peel Centre (JPC) is a vibrant arts centre, with a community-centric culture, inspired by and a tribute to the legendary broadcaster John Peel.
The JPC is a Community Interest Company (CIC), led by a board of Directors, a small staff team, and a team of registered volunteers. It was conceived to become a high-quality, community-owned arts centre which is a beacon of cultural and community activities and initiatives.
John Peel was an influential figure in British music broadcasting and lived locally to us in Great Finborough. Famed for his eclectic taste and dedication to new, emerging music, Peel embodied the DIY ethos of the punk movement, and the centre holds firmly to its mission to nurture and encourage musicians and artists and increase accessibility to the arts for all.
