Are you passionate about construction health and safety and want to make a real difference to the delivery of safe, high-quality homes? We’re looking for a Health & Safety (Development & New Build) Advisor to join our team and provide practical, professional advice across our development and new build projects.
You’ll work closely with our Development and Abri Build teams, providing health and safety advice from the early design and concept stages through to construction. You’ll help teams understand their responsibilities under CDM, support safe design, review key project documentation and provide specialist advice on construction risks and controls.
A big part of the role will be getting out and about, carrying out site visits, audits and monitoring activities, working with contractors, designers and consultants to make sure health and safety standards are being met. You’ll also provide constructive challenge where things aren’t quite right and help teams find practical solutions to manage risk.
You’ll need experience of providing health and safety advice in a construction, development or new build environment, along with a good understanding of CDM and construction health and safety. A NEBOSH General Certificate and NEBOSH Health & Safety for Construction (or equivalent) are essential, with additional construction or CDM qualifications desirable.
If you’re proactive, approachable and confident working with people at all levels, we’d love to hear from you. This is a great opportunity to join a team that values professional independence, continuous improvement and making a positive difference to the safety of our people, contractors and the communities we serve.
A full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role.
This role can be based out of either our Eastleigh office (SO50 6AD) or our Bracknell office (RG12 1RF).
