Role Overview
We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Sales Consultant to join our team on a zero hour contract. This role is primarily focused on generating new memberships, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the club.
Candidates with a Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification are preferred, as there will be opportunities to support and deliver gym floor sessions and group classes.
Sales & Membership Growth
- Proactively generate leads through outreach, local marketing, and referrals
- Conduct club tours and effectively present membership options
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets
- Follow up on all enquiries (calls, emails, walk-ins) in a timely manner
- Build relationships within the local community to drive membership growth
Customer Service
- Deliver a welcoming and positive experience for all members and guests
- Handle enquiries, feedback, and concerns professionally
- Support member retention through engagement and rapport building
Fitness Support (Preferred)
- Provide basic gym inductions and equipment demonstrations
- Support or deliver group exercise classes (if qualified)
- Maintain a visible and approachable presence on the gym floor
Club Operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the gym
- Ensure health & safety standards are upheld
- Support opening/closing procedures where required
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales, customer service, or related roles with strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in IT systems including, MS Office suite, and other organisational tools.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport quickly and maintain professional relationships.
- Experience in coaching or mentoring is advantageous but not essential.

- Flexible availability (including evenings and weekends)
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Desirable:
- Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification
- Previous experience in fitness, retail, or sales environments
- Confidence in leading or assisting group exercise sessions
