Job Overview
We are looking for a part-time cleaner to help maintain high standards of cleanliness across our premises. This role involves carrying out a range of cleaning duties to ensure all areas are clean, tidy, safe, and welcoming. The position is ideal for someone looking for flexible part-time work, including those starting their first job or returning to work. Full training will be provided, but a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, and uses their initiative to complete tasks to a high standard.
Duties
- Clean and service guest bedrooms and bathrooms to a high standard.
- Change bed linen and make beds neatly.
- Vacuum, mop and dust guest rooms and public areas.
- Replenish toiletries, towels, tea and coffee supplies, and other guest amenities.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Clean and sanitise bathrooms, fixtures, and fittings.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or lost property to management.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and products are used safely and stored correctly.
- Follow health and safety procedures and hotel cleaning standards.
- Work efficiently to meet daily room cleaning targets while maintaining attention to detail.
- Assist with cleaning public areas such as corridors, reception, stairways, and staff areas when required.
- Provide a welcoming environment by ensuring all areas are clean, tidy, and presentable for guests.

- Ability to clean efficiently while ensuring every area is thoroughly cleaned and presented.
- Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and the correct use of cleaning products and equipment (training provided if required).

- Good organisational and time management skills to complete tasks within set timeframes.
- Ability to follow cleaning schedules, checklists, and hotel procedures.
- Understanding of hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physically capable of carrying out repetitive cleaning tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to notice and report maintenance issues, damaged items, or health and safety concerns.
- Reliable, dependable, and committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests.
- Previous hotel housekeeping or cleaning experience is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided.
