Mobile Plumber
Location: Birmingham & the Midlands
Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 + Overtime
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm | 40 hours per week
Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Mobile Plumber to join their growing team, covering commercial plumbing works across Birmingham and the wider Midlands.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Commercial Plumber who enjoys working on a mobile basis and is looking for a varied role across a range of sectors, including social housing, education and healthcare.
As a Mobile Plumber, you'll be responsible for carrying out repairs, fault finding, PPM and installation works across multiple sites, providing a high standard of workmanship and customer service.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out repair and installation works on commercial plumbing systems.
- Fault finding and diagnosing issues to achieve a high level of first-time fix.
- Completing PPM on pipework and plumbing equipment.
- Carrying out repairs safely, efficiently and in line with current regulations and best practice.
- Assessing jobs on site and making decisions where additional works are required.
- Liaising with the office, management and clients regarding works and follow-on requirements.
- Providing professional customer service when dealing with tenants, clients and members of the public.
- Completing relevant job sheets and documentation accurately.
- Identifying and quoting additional works where required.
- Ensuring company vehicles, tools and equipment are maintained and used correctly.
- Working as part of an emergency call-out rota, with overtime payable where applicable.
- Travelling to multiple sites across the West and East Midlands, with some wider UK travel as required.
About You
To be considered for the Mobile Plumber role, you'll ideally have:
- A recognised plumbing apprenticeship and/or NVQ Level 3 Plumbing or City & Guilds qualification.
- Previous commercial plumbing experience.
- Strong fault finding, repair and maintenance skills.
- Experience working across commercial environments.
- A flexible approach to travel and working across multiple sites.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
- A professional and proactive approach.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to participate in an emergency call-out rota.
- A willingness to undertake further training and development.
The position is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check and employment references.
