Head of Inbound & Outbound Logistics

MM Flowers is looking for a senior logistics leader to take full ownership of our inbound and outbound logistics strategy across flowers, plants, gifting, and packaging. Reporting to the Group Procurement Director, this is a critical leadership role, accountable for ensuring cost efficiency, resilience, and service excellence across international and domestic supply chains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and delivery of MM Flowers’ logistics strategy, covering global freight, domestic distribution, and peak seasonal flows.
- Negotiate freight contracts, optimise routes, and drive sustainable cost savings.
- Build and manage supplier and 3PL partnerships to deliver high-quality, reliable service.
- Oversee inbound shipments of raw materials and packaging, and outbound delivery of finished goods to customers — ensuring OTIF performance.
- Embed best-in-class logistics systems and processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Provide leadership and development to the logistics team, driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Define and monitor KPIs, producing insight-driven reports for senior leadership.
- Champion innovation and sustainability in freight and logistics.
Person Profile:
- Significant senior-level logistics or supply chain management experience, ideally within FMCG, fresh produce, or other fast-paced industries.
- Proven expertise in freight negotiation, route optimisation, and multi-site logistics.
- Strong understanding of global shipping, customs compliance, and import/export regulations.
- Excellent commercial, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
