Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and personable full-time waitress/ waitor to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is preferred, along with a passion for delivering outstanding customer care.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted.
- Serve meals and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximise guest satisfaction and revenue.
- Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
- Handle payments accurately, including cash and card transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout shifts.
- Assist in food preparation when necessary, adhering to food safety standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders.
- Uphold health and safety regulations at all times, including food safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation skills.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities.
- Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately.
- Familiarity with upselling techniques to enhance guest experience and sales performance.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
