Role: Hygiene Manager

What will my role look like?
We are looking for a Hygiene Manager to join our amazing Scarborough team! You will be driving force in ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and food safety are maintained across the bakery site.
You will lead and manage the Hygiene Team, ensuring all cleaning operations support safe food production, comply with company policies and meet all regulatory requirements. You will a critical role in protecting product integrity, maintain a clean production environment and supporting operational efficiency
Role Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise and develop the Hygiene Team
- Manage and coordinate all hygiene and cleaning activities across site
- Develop, implement and maintain effective cleaning schedules for all areas of the bakery, including changing rooms, canteen and yard
- Ensure all hygiene activities are conducted safely and in line with H&S regulations
- Support Technical Team in maintaining high food safety standards and audit readiness
Experience & Skills
· Strong leadership and communication skills
· Thorough understanding of hygiene protocols and food safety standards
· Experience in a bakery or food production environment is highly desirable
· Knowledge of chemical handling and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations
· Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
· Ability to problem-solve and make effective decisions
