The Role
We are looking for an experienced Upholsterer to join our skilled workshop team. You'll be working on our standard offerings of chairs, sofas & banquette seating along with our specialist bespoke service offering— bringing designs to life with precision and care from frame to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Upholster standard & bespoke chairs, sofas, booths, and contract seating to client specifications
- Cut, sew, and fit fabrics, leathers, and synthetic coverings to a flawless finish
- Apply foams, padding, webbing, springs, and other internal components
- Read and work from technical drawings, patterns, and cutting plans
- Carry out high-quality finishing, including buttoning, piping, and detailing
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets our quality standards
- Collaborate with the wider workshop team and production manager to meet deadlines
- Maintain a tidy and safe working environment
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as an upholsterer – sewing skills advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of upholstery techniques, materials, and tools.
- Ability to interpret drawings, patterns, and specifications accurately
- High attention to detail and pride in delivering a quality finish
- Experience working with a variety of fabrics and leathers
- Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
- Proven experience essential.
