I am seeking a Shift Manager that comes from a manufacturing environment to work on a 28 day shift cycle. The suitable candidate will lead their shift to ensure business operations and production is running smoothly on a daily basis. You will demonstrate appropriate training and supervision is provided, and ensure all members of your team are working in a safe fashion. You will act as the senior site manager outside of office hours supporting any escalation and incident plans.

Salary: Starting Salary £45,500.00 (Increasing to £50,923.20)
This is to work on a 28-day shift cycle of 12 hours both days and nights including your days off:
Fri, Sat, Sun & Mon: 6pm – 6am (Nights)
Tues, Wed & Thurs: OFF
Fri, Sat & Sun: 6am – 6pm (Days)
Mon: OFF
Tues, Wed & Thurs: 6pm – 6am (Nights)
Fri, Sat & Sun: OFF
Mon, Tues, Wed & Thurs: 6am – 6pm (Days)
8 DAY BREAK
Daily duties & responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the shift is appropriately staffed to cover any absences
- Maximise the performance using the company’s policies and procedures
- Liaise and proactively plan with other departments across the 4 production shifts
- Ensure Managements systems are up to date and colleagues are trained
- Enable manufacturing tools and techniques maintaining product quality and security protocols
- Enhance continuous improvement activities
- Support Daily operations, including job planning and production reviews
- Participate and lead shift meetings
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a mirroring role
- Determination to achieve results
- Background in a manufacturing environment is essential
- You must be approachable and communicate with staff at ease
- Strong knowledge in H&S and quality
- Practical experience with lean manufacturing techniques
- Clear understanding of HR Process including performance management
