Lead Dental Nurse – Full Time – Tewkesbury
We’re looking for an experienced Lead Dental Nurse to join our modern private practice in Tewkesbury. This is a senior clinical role supporting the Principal and leading the clinical environment day‑to‑day.
Hours: 40.2 hrs/week (incl. 1 Saturday morning/month). Some 8.00 am starts with hygienist (extra hours).
Contract: Maternity cover (potential permanent)
Start: ASAP
Salary: Competitive (DOE)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead infection control & decontamination
- Manage clinical stock & ordering
- Support & develop the trainee nurse
- Maintain high standards in surgery setup & turnover
- Complete clinical audits, iComply actions & CQC readiness
- Chairside support when required
About You
- GDC‑registered Dental Nurse
- Strong experience in private or high‑standard mixed practice
- Confident with decon, stock, audits & compliance
- Organised, proactive, calm and reliable
- Able to support junior team members
