Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team at nursery in Timperley. In this role, you will support our catering and meal preparation efforts, ensuring a safe and enjoyable dining experience for the children. Your contribution will help us maintain high standards of food safety and quality in a nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in meal and food preparation for children in accordance with nutritional standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area.
- Support the Nursery cook.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Follow hygiene protocols to ensure a safe environment.
- Collaborate with staff to deliver a smooth dining experience for children.
- Qualifications
- Experience in catering or kitchen assistance, preferably within childcare or similar settings.
- Knowledge of food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Good communication skills.
- A positive attitude and team spirit.
- Flexibility to support various tasks as needed.
- Basic cooking skills are desirable. Preferred:
- Previous experience working with children or in early years settings.
- Food handling certification.
