Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Team Leader/Support Worker to join our care team. This role involves supervising and supporting individuals within a care home setting, ensuring they receive high-quality care tailored to their individual needs. Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of support workers, ensuring the delivery of outstanding care services
- Support residents with daily activities, personal care, and medication management in accordance with care plans
- Develop, review, and implement personalised care plans for residents, ensuring they meet individual needs and preferences
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for residents and staff alike
- Assist with organising activities and social events to promote residents’ wellbeing and engagement
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, incidents, and any changes in residents’ condition
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members to coordinate care
- Support staff training and development programmes to uphold high standards of service delivery
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care environment
- Drive organisational initiatives aimed at continuous improvement in resident care
Skills
- Proven supervising or leadership experience within a care home or senior care setting
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to develop and manage personalised care plans tailored to individual needs
- Experience with IT systems relevant to care management and record keeping
- Driving licence is desirable for supporting residents' outings or appointments
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations in a care environment
- Compassionate approach with excellent organisational skills
- Ability to motivate and lead a team while maintaining high standards of resident support
