Responsibilities
- Safely operate recovery vehicles, including flatbed trucks and specialized equipment, to retrieve vehicles or assets from various locations.
- Conduct thorough inspections of recovered items and secure them properly for transport.
- Navigate urban and rural routes efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of recoveries, including pickup times, locations, and condition reports.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks on recovery trucks to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow all safety procedures during recovery operations to prevent accidents or damage.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, especially with flatbed trucks or recovery vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards applicable to commercial transportation.
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability in timely pickups and drop-offs.
- Excellent navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS technology effectively.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as loading, securing, and unloading recovered items.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients professionally.
- A valid driver’s licence with at least C1E entitlement required.
