General Maintenance Person - Toms Holidays – West Cornwall -
Part-Time, Permanent – 25 Hours per Week
Salary: £18,200 per annum, plus call-out payments.
Toms Holidays is looking for a reliable and practical Maintenance Person to work alongside our friendly and supprtive team, to help maintain our holiday properties and grounds to a high standard.
This is a varied role involving property maintenance, repairs, gardening and general handyman duties. You'll need to be able to work independently, solve problems and work well as part of a team.
Typical Working Pattern
Thursday: 12pm – 5pm
Friday: 12pm – 5pm
Saturday: 12pm – 5pm
Sunday: 9am – 2pm
Monday: 12pm – 5pm
Hours and days may vary throughout the year to reflect the seasonal nature of the business.
During the busy summer season, weekend working is required to support guest changeovers. In return, you'll benefit from regular weekends off during the quieter winter and low-season periods.
As part of the role, you'll join an on-call rota to provide support for urgent maintenance issues when required, usually up to three evenings per week. Additional call-out payments will be made when attending call-outs.
What You'll Need
Full clean UK driving licence
Previous maintenance, handyman or property maintenance experience
Good understanding of Health & Safety and lone working
Ability to use initiative and solve problems
Reliable, organised and professional approach
Team player
Desirable
Relevant trade or maintenance qualifications
Experience using power tools and gardening equipment
Willingness to undertake company-funded training
