Experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative (team leader)
Pay: £14.30–£15.50/hour (DOE) Reviewed annually each April
Hours: 38/week (paid for 40) Early Friday finish
Looking for a stable outdoor role with variety and a supportive team? We’re recruiting up to two experienced Grounds Maintenance Operatives to maintain and enhance outdoor spaces across our sites.
What you’ll do:
- Lawn mowing (pedestrian, ride-on, tractor)
- Hedge trimming, strimming, litter picking, leaf clearance
- Sports field maintenance and line marking
- Safe operation of hand/power tools & towing trailers
- Lead a team
- Delegate tasks and provide support to team members
- Winter gritting
Who we’re looking for:
- Full UK driving licence (max 6 points)
- Must have proven commercial grounds maintenance experience
- Ability to lead a team and deliver high standard results
- Positive, reliable, and able to work independently
- Must be eager and ambitious
- PA1/PA6 certification, horticultural experience, mechanical knowledge
