Part-Time School Cleaner (Term Time Only)
Location: Church Lane, Sompting, Lancing, BN15 0AZ
Hours: Monday to Friday, 4:30pm – 6:15pm (1 hour 45 minutes per day / 8.75 hours per week)
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
Start Date: September 2026 (Start of Term)
Apex Cleaning is looking for a reliable and experienced School Cleaner to join our friendly team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for regular part-time evening work with a professional and supportive company.
Please note: Due to the location of the school and the evening working hours, applicants should ideally hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning classrooms, corridors and communal areas
- Cleaning surfaces and disinfecting touch points
- Sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors
- Cleaning toilets and replenishing consumables
- Emptying bins and ensuring all areas are presented to a high standard
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous professional cleaning experience (essential)
- Has experience cleaning schools, educational settings, offices, healthcare facilities or similar commercial premises (preferred)
- Takes pride in delivering consistently high cleaning standards
- Is reliable, punctual and trustworthy
- Can work independently and manage their time effectively
- Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with colleagues
- Is willing to support fellow team members to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained
- Has a positive attitude and strong attention to detail
