Graduate Quantity Surveyor
Location: Walsall, West Midlands
Salary: To £32,000 depending on experience

The Role:
Working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors and Operational Managers, you'll support the commercial management of several projects and learn how to:

Assistin the preparation of valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.

Monitor project costs,budgetsand profitability.

Maintain records of costs, variations, programmechangesand project performance.

Support subcontractor procurement,administrationand account management.
-
Help prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts and CVRs.

Learn and apply NEC and JCT contract principles.

Attend project meetings with clients,subcontractorsand internal stakeholders.

Assistinidentifyingcommercial risks and opportunities across projects.

Support tendering activities and pricing exercises.

Contribute to post-project reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Need:
Essential
-
Degree in Quantity Surveying (or due to graduate this year).
-
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
-
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
-
Ambitious,proactiveand eager to learn.
-
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office packages.
-
Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
-
Previousplacement year, internship or work experience within construction,utilitiesor civil engineering.

Basic understanding of NEC or JCT contracts.

Interest in water,infrastructureor civil engineering projects.
