Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in carpentry to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess excellent management skills, supervising experience, and proficiency in Primavera P6. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Supervise on-site teams, including subcontractors and labour personnel, providing clear direction and support.
- Coordinate project schedules using Primavera P6 to optimise workflow and resource allocation.
- Oversee daily site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor progress and report on project milestones to senior management.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and suppliers to facilitate smooth communication and project delivery.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work meets specifications and safety standards.
- Manage procurement of materials and equipment necessary for project execution.
- Resolve on-site issues promptly, making informed decisions to minimise delays.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing construction sites with a strong emphasis on carpentry projects.
- Supervising experience in a construction environment is essential.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 or similar project management software.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and supervise teams.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management or related fields are preferred.
