The Kitchen assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the kitchen operations of a country pub. Working under the guidance of the Head Chef, the Assistant Cook assists in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring the highest quality of food is delivered to customers. The Assistant Cook also helps maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Previous kitchen experience is required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of working in a kitchen, including food preparation and assisting chefs.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety procedures.
- Willingness to assist with food preparation, cleaning, pot wash and maintaining kitchen standards.
You will be expected to work a mixture of shifts but must be avaliable to work some weekend shifts.
Our kitchen serves food from 12-3pm and 6-9pm Wed-Fri, 12-9pm Saturdays and 12- 6pm on Sundays so flexibility is essential.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £13.00-£16.00 per hour
