Now Education is seeking a committed and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to work full-time in a SEMH setting in Northampton
This role involves supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those who some extra support with behavior . The successful candidate must be comfortable assisting with personal care needs and have prior experience in a care or educational setting.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs
- Support pupils with personal care where required
- Assist in implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
- Support emotional regulation and social development
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
- Help create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working in a care or education setting (essential)
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
- Comfortable providing personal care
- Patient, resilient and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passionate about supporting children’s development
