Club Operations Manager
Salary: £34,000 per annum + Bonus

About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Club Operations Manager to join our team and play a key role in the continued development of our club.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied, hands-on leadership role and wants to make a real difference. The successful candidate will help shape how the club operates, improve standards, support the team and ensure our members receive an excellent experience every time they visit.
The Club Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day running of the club, working closely with the Club Manager, Food & Beverage Manager and wider team to ensure the club operates smoothly, efficiently and professionally.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being visible within the operation, leading from the front and creating a positive environment for both members and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Club Operations
- Take responsibility for the daily operational running of the club.
- Ensure high standards across member areas, facilities, reception and shared spaces.
- Carry out regular operational checks and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
- Support the development of operational procedures and improve ways of working.
- Ensure the club is welcoming, safe and well presented at all times.
Team Leadership
- Support, coach and develop the club team.
- Work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and Shift Supervisors to ensure effective daily operations.
- Support rota planning and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Act as the senior person on duty when required.
- Provide guidance and support to Club Assistants.
- Help create a positive, accountable and team-focused culture.
Member Experience
- Deliver excellent customer service standards across the club.
- Build positive relationships with members, guests and visitors.
- Handle operational queries and resolve issues professionally.
- Support improvements based on member feedback.
- Ensure the club environment reflects the standards expected by our members.
Café, Bar & Club Support
- Work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to support the café, bar and kitchen operation.
- Ensure food and beverage service supports the overall club experience.
- Assist during busy periods and help maintain service standards.
- Support club events, activities and competitions.
- Work collaboratively with all departments to ensure smooth service delivery.
Facilities & Standards
- Maintain high standards across the club environment.
- Support cleaning, presentation and general facility standards.
- Coordinate responses to maintenance issues.
- Assist with ensuring courts, communal areas and member facilities are well presented.
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers where required.
Working Pattern
This is a full-time operational role requiring flexibility to support the needs of the club.
The role will include a mixture of:
- Early shifts
- Late shifts
- Weekend working
- Occasional support for events and busy periods
The senior team will operate on a rota basis to ensure leadership coverage across the club while maintaining a positive work-life balance.
