Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Operative / FLT Driver to join our new manufacturing team in Leeds. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production processes within a new manufacturing environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in mechanical operations, and quality control, contributing to the production of high-quality products in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor various production machinery, adhering to safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning; perform basic troubleshooting when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of production outputs, quality checks, and equipment maintenance.
- Follow strict safety standards, including proper handling, storage, and labelling of finished goods.
- Support cleaning schedules to ensure compliance with hygiene regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
- Assist with inventory management by recording stock levels and reporting shortages or discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Qualified up to 4 ton Fork Lift Truck Counterbalance preferred but training can be provided for the right candidate.
Experience
- Previous experience in manufacturing environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating industrial equipment is beneficial.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements, weight calculations, and record keeping are required.
- Familiarity with good manufacturing practices will support successful performance in this role.
