About the role
We’re looking for someone who loves making things happen.
As our Product Developer, you’ll take a list of titles and turn them into well-crafted, ready-to-go products—working closely with the Head of Product Development to choose the right materials and ensure everything is practical, high quality, and great value.
Main Responsibilities
- Attend Creative Briefings and work closely with the Creative team to clarify product specifications that are fit for purpose and cost effective.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive costs and timelines for each product, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
- Draft purchase orders and ensure smooth handover of information to the Procurement and Production teams.
- Liaise across multiple departments to resolve any queries and ensure seamless workflows.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, addressing any issues and ensuring effective communication.
- Ensure product developments stay on track and adhere to critical dates, escalating any delays as necessary.
- Work with teams to evaluate environmental and sustainability factors in product specifications and explore alternative solutions.
- Troubleshoot day-to-day issues with titles or suppliers and continually suggest process improvements.
- Maintain databases and manage ERP system data.
What we are looking for
- Previous experience in product development is desirable.
- Strong supplier management experience, particularly with overseas suppliers (especially in China).
- Excellent negotiation skills and confident communicator.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple schedules and projects at once.
- Problem-solving mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement.
