Job Overview
We are seeking a Core-Cutter to join our manufacturing team working 12-hour day shifts, 7am-7pm, 4 days on, 4 days off. In this role, you will be responsible for precisely cutting core materials to specification to be used in our production processes. Your expertise will ensure that components meet strict specifications, contributing to the overall quality and efficiency of our products.
Duties
- Operate various cutting machinery and hand tools to accurately cut core materials according to detailed specifications
- Plan the cutting schedule as per production planning sheets, including inputting on AS400
- Ensure waste is kept to a minimum
- Sort, clean and identify customer-returned cores and ensure they are stored correctly
- Handle materials safely within the warehouse, including loading, unloading, and organizing stock for efficient workflow
- Carry out stock checks as needed
- Complete and follow task cards and instructions relevant to the operational area
Skills
- Experience of working in manufacturing - desirable
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team, supporting others to meet shared objectives
- Have excellent attention to detail
