Job Description
Role Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and professional security officer to undertake security work at our client's premises. We’ll rely on you to keep our client's site safe whilst maintaining a high visible presence, as per an agreed specification. There will be a requirement to cover shifts Monday to Sunday with 40 hours available per week (5 on and 2 off) this would include day shift, back shift and night shift . You must have a fully comprehensive five year work or education history.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To ensure a high standard of security is maintained (as per specification).
- To protect our client’s property, the public and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Monitor for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.
- Act lawfully at all times on our client’s site.
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
- Report in detail any suspicious incidents.
- Patrol randomly and regularly the client's buildings and perimeter.
- Must be willing to work outdoors when required.
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and any vehicle gates.
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
- Perform first aid as required.
- Person Specification:
- Previous security guard experience preferred.
- SIA License (Security Guard or Door Supervisor) required.
- SIA CCTV License also preferred but not essential - you must be willing to undertake the SIA CCTV training.
- Honest and trustworthy.
- Ability to stay calm in difficult situations.
- Excellent communication skills and customer focus.
- Ability to work with CCTV and other security equipment although training will be given.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Flexibility and patience.
