The Job: We are looking for a Floor Supervisor, who is people skilled and motivated to give our guests an unforgettable dining experience. We are looking for someone with good leadership skills. Someone with lots of hospitality and management experience.
As a Floor Supervisor, you are responsible for the efficient and friendly manner of serving our guests and ensuring that our guests are experiencing an incredible time. MR PORTER Supervisor will lead the team and make sure that each request is handled promptly and effectively. You oversee all the sections in the restaurant and are able to make sure all our guests are being served with high quality. The ideal candidate for this role has excellent communication skills, leadership skills, management skills, and a passion for hospitality and thrives in a team-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Assistant General Manager and General Manager
- Greeting guests
- Coordinate the table settings and prepare tables when needed
- Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about the shared-dining concept, ingredients or potential food allergies)
- Offer menu recommendations upon request
- Coordinate the communication between the floor and the kitchen team
- Serve food and drink orders
- Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation
- Deliver checks and collect bill payments
- Positive attitude and aim to provide great communication skills
Requirements
- Previous supervisory experience in hospitality, guest relations, or hosting leadership roles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Professional appearance and calm under pressure
- Experience using booking systems and reservation platforms
- Leadership mindset with the ability to motivate a team
- Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
- Valid right to work in the UK
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
