About the Role
We are seeking 3 x Quality Technicians to join our team in Hawick. Reporting to the UK Quality Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that internal, customer, and regulatory quality standards are consistently met, while driving continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations.
This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ideal for someone with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for quality excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the full production lifecycle, ensuring compliance with quality standards
- Conduct inspections and testing of materials, processes, and finished products
- Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions (e.g. 7-step process)
- Identify and manage non-conforming materials and products
- Perform internal audits and support external/supplier audits (ISO 9001)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements and reduce waste
- Maintain calibration schedules and ensure quality plans are followed
- Support NCR processes and continuous improvement initiatives
- Promote and adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a quality role within manufacturing
- Strong understanding of ISO9001 quality standards
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing (desirable)
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
