The Role
We’re looking for a passionate and reliable U8 Coach to join our team.
This role will co-lead our U8 team alongside an experienced coach throughout the current season, with the view to independently manage the team from next season.
You’ll plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate sessions, manage matchdays, and help maintain the high standards that define the PCE environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver fun, challenging, and structured training sessions in line with PCE’s player pathway.
- Support matchday management including player selection, rotation, and communication with parents.
- Maintain a positive and professional environment that promotes learning, discipline, and enjoyment.
- Work closely with the Head Coach to align on development plans and player feedback.
- Uphold PCE’s values of reliability, organisation, and role-model behaviour at all times.

Requirements
- Minimum FA Level 1 / Introduction to Coaching Football (or working towards).
- FA Safeguarding Children and FA First Aid certificates (or willing to obtain).
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and ability to serve as a role model to young players.
- Ability to travel to away games for Echo Junior League.
