Accountant
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our growing practice. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys producing accurate accounts and tax work, working as part of a supportive team, and delivering high-quality work across a varied client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
- Preparation of corporation tax returns
- Preparation of personal tax returns
- Maintaining accurate accounting records and working papers
- Liaising with HMRC where required
- Using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, and Sage
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
- Supporting the wider team with ad hoc accounting duties as required
About You
- ACCA or AAT qualified (or equivalent), or qualified by experience
- Strong UK accountancy practice background with at least 3 years' experience
- Good knowledge of UK accounting principles and taxation
- Experience using cloud accounting software such as QuickBooks, FreeAgent, Xero and Sage, and ideally TaxCalc
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
