About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Driver to join our transport team. This is a varied role involving the collection and transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, whilst ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance and customer service.
The successful candidate will primarily undertake Class 1 driving duties but will also be required to provide cover for Class 2 work as operational needs require. Flexibility and a willingness to support the wider transport team are essential.

Key Accountabilities
-
Collect hazardous and non-hazardous waste using Class 1 vehicles.
-
Provide Class 2 driving cover when required to support operational demands.

Operate vehicles safely and in line with company procedures and legal requirements.

Load, unload and handle waste materials, including lifting drums (up to 25kg) and moving pallets using a pump truck.

Deliver excellent customer service when attending customer sites.

Complete all required transport documentation accurately.

Work closely with the transport depot to ensure efficient service delivery.
The Candidate
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.

Current Driver CPC qualification and Digi-card.

Previous HGV driving experience.

Willingness to undertake both Class 1 and Class 2 work when required.

Strong customer service skills.

Good literacy and numeracy skills with the ability to complete transport paperwork accurately.

Flexible and dependable approach to work.

ADR licence desirable but not essential, as training can be provided.

Waste industry experience advantageous but not essential.
